Bile is necessary for the digestion and absorption of fats in the diet. I use all raw kale, collars, spinach, broccoli, bok choy, celery, romaine lettuce, beets leaves, cucumbers, and a few other things in a blender with soy milk. I really don&amp;#39;t know whether I am maximizing the nutrition from these vegetables or not but I no longer have a gall bladder. I remember Warda talking about the greens that she and her mother would just &amp;quot;go harvest&amp;quot; in the oountryside of (oh dear, I&amp;#39;m blanking on her home country), is it Algeria? I feel lucky to have so much kale (and other greens) still available from our farmers&amp;#39; hoop houses and also frozen in my freezer! Used fresh tender kale from the garden (more than called for in the recipe) and then let the soup simmer longer so the sweet potatoes fell apart and the soup thickened. The next time I...</title><content type='html'>Thanks for visiting my kale blog.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The next time I make a big batch I&amp;#39;ll do a 50-50 experiment to see if freezing before cooking or freezing afterward makes a better potato pancake at the end. However, my initial vote would be to get them all baked, freeze, and then reheat so they end up crispy and not soggy. I often just scrub the outside peel (just like a regular potato), dice it up, and leave the peeling on, but if I want a smoother texture over all in my soup, I will peel it. That way, when I get a piece of sweet potato in my mouth, it just melts away like butter.
